Bottles and Glassware No.7 “MO” paper version
The MO paper I mentioned before is a special paper to me and not something I can consume casually. This was a watercolor and printmaking paper that was previously available at any art supply store in Japan. Developed using washi paper manufacturing techniques, it had excellent properties, being easy to paint on and having excellent preservation properties, but it is no longer available due to the manufacturer going out of business.
It is not a high-end or rare art material by any means, but the texture of the composition and compatibility with ink are excellent, so I tend to hesitate to use the limited stock available. However, the "Bottles and Glassware No. 7" I printed the other day prompted me to create it on this paper. Of course, I also love the results I get from using my favorite Velin Arches paper, but I was reminded that the finish and texture of MO paper are unique.
This time I produced it using a very small amount of paper. With printmaking it is possible to make many prints, but this may be the last print on this paper.
